Benjamin Graduated from his bachelor's degree in biochemistry and integrative biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2014 and then went on to study a master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in education at Georgia State University. Benjamin Joined the Ph.D. program at USF in January 2021 and now works on several projects focusing on the extraction of natural products for medicinal purposes.
